Even though Rodney puts up a good show of only giving in for johns sake, muttered words of 'I'm not a girl' falling from his lips every night John counts his breaths as Rodney's muscles relax one by one, letting out the fears and stresses that hold him together each day, letting John take the burden for once.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity - it had started as an accident, John had shown up at Rodney's lab with dinner after noting Rodney wasn't in the mess hall for the third night in a row. After dragging him away from his last obsessions (a new way to harness radial energy as a separate force field) they had sat, eating sandwiches in a compatible silence, broken every now and then for discussion on Atlantis gossip or Rodney to fling a new idea at John. After that day it became their time, twice a week they would steal away from the bustle of the mess hall and eat in Rodney's lab, chatting over football, politics, gossip or sometimes just revelling in the chance for just once, not to be everything to everyone in Atlantis, a chance to just be them.
who uses all the hot water in the morning - Rodney, it doesn't matter how many times John threatens him with actual body harm, every morning John finds himself in an ice cold shower. It had gotten to the stage that John had found inventive ways to put a stop to it, from allowing the room to make some changes to the water temperature leaving Rodney shouting in indignation, to the days when John will slip into the shower alongside Rodney warm kisses and slick wet skin leaving them both breathless ignoring the water as it turned icy around them. Not that this seemed an effective way to stop Rodney, he'll sometimes John thought Rodney deliberately used up all the hot water just to entice John in.
what they order from take out - John hated being away from Atlantis, he hadn't classed earth as home for a long long time, their last enforced trip landing in San Francisco, caught up in two years of red tape before finally being allowed home had been the final seal. So his quarterly trips back to SGC were always his least favourite activity. His stomach would feel knotted, the feeling of homesickness almost overwhelming him But travelling home via Rodney's new worm gate, watching Rodney's eyes light up at the small white boxes containing treats from his favourite Chinese would make the knot start to unravel as John settled in back home.

what is the most trivial thing they fight over - everything, it had worried John in the beginning, that they might stop fighting, be too careful of the others feelings but they had kept the same routine, Rodney still had the ability to dance on John's last nerve and was never shy about voicing how wrong John was, often and John found he had no problem pulling Rodney back down to earth, if for no other reason than a Rodney McKay unchecked was a dangerous animal, capable of the destruction of at least a couple of solar systems. Most of the time their arguments were over and done in a flash, but every now and then there would be fights of a different nature, harsh words and quick tempers where the words flew unchecked, each one sharp, direct and aimed to wound. They would be over almost as quick as they started, usually resolved with Rodney plastered to John's back whispered words, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, I love you forcing john to turn round, smile slowly growing, soft lips meeting until they forgot what they were fighting about.
who does most of the cleaning - John, Rodney doesn't like cleaning, the order in his mind that gets him through each day seems lost in domestic senses, he leaves clothes where he takes them off, and stuffs sweetie wrappers in piles until they resemble small christmas trees and John with his almost obsessive cleanliness would threaten him with sending all his stuff back to his own room, a room that hadn't been used in nearly three years, but they both knew it was an empty threat. John would never go back to the cold sterile cleanliness of life before Rodney McKay, not even on the days he found melted chocolate spread over his favourite pair of sweats.
what has a season pass in their DVR - John had known Rodney was different from the day he met him, but it was the day they finally moved in together giving up on the pretence of separate quarters after seven years that he realised just how insane his life had now become. As he watched Rodney, the man who found it impossible to put rubbish in a bin obsessively catalogue his DVD's of Torchwood and something called misfits he smiled as he realised that even after all these years there was still always something new to learn about the man he now loved even more than he loved the city that brought the, together.
who controls the netflix queue - Rodney might be the king of the box sets, owning practically every scifi series known to man but it was John who usually decided what they would watch, paying less attention to what was on screen and more to the man curled up at his side, rambling on constantly about everything from the cinematography to the totally unrealistic views on science in most scifi shows. Before long Rodney's voice would fade out, his eyelids drooping as he fell asleep on John's shoulder and John would sit, watch the end of the show, his mind filled with the feel, sound and smell of Rodney around him, and he would wonder for what seemed like the millionth time who he had gotten so damn lucky.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working - John had gotten used to things never going wrong in his quarters, his relationship with the city he loved making sure that his room was always at the right temperature, the light never too bright or dark. That had changed after Rodney moved in. Rodney's ideas about fixing things that weren't wrong and his ideas about making things better coupled with the city's almost possessive nature over John usually ended with John playing peacemaker, speaking softly to the city under his breath until the water heated up again or the lights came on, of course Rodney would scoff at John's peacemaking attempts, of course he would then usually drag John to bed words of ownership and possessiveness falling from his lips showing John and the city just who John belonged too.
who steals the blankets - Rodney hated being too warm, it never helped that John was like an electric blanket at night time so more often than not the blankets would end up on the floor as their limbs tangled and John provided Rodney with all the heat he would ever need.

who leaves their stuff around - it had started small, so small that John didn't even notice at first, a book left here, science journals on the table, power bars gathered next to the bedside until one day he turned round and realised that Rodney McKay had taken over his quarters with the same determination that he had used to take over John's heart, what was most surprising of all though was John wouldn't have it any other way.
who remembers to buy the milk - there were things about Rodney that drove John mad, but his worst habit was his ability to forget to eat, sleep, breathe when he had an idea in his head. It was during these periods that John would realise just how much this annoying, arrogant unbelievably conceited man had come to mean to John. He would tolerate it for a short while but eventually he would see the circles under Rodney's eyes, hear the rumble of his hungry tummy and he would drag Rodney to their quarters, force him to eat, then sleep before waking him up with soft kisses, before fucking him into the mattress, showing Rodney that there were far more rewarding things to be obsessive about.
who remembers anniversaries - John remember every first he and Rodney have ever shared, first kiss, first fight, the first time John had whispered the words buried inside him so long. They loved inside his head, taken out at the quietest moments for John to wonder at, to marvel over that he had finally found someone that he could love this much. That was why he recognised each date on the piece of paper in front of him. It was the words below that tore at his heart 'never forget' written in block capitals and underlined heavily. It reminded him of a time where he had watched Rodney disappear in front of his eyes, a time he had realised he was in love with his best friend, a time where John had almost lost his reason for being.

who is the big spoon/little spoon Erik is the big spoon, Charles is a snuggler, so much so that Erik now finds it hard to sleep alone without long limb tangled amongst his own and the comforting sound of Charles soft breathing.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity Charles likes reading, not just academic books, thrillers, mysteries, trashy novels, Erik has never felt more comfortable and loved than on the nights he spends, with Charles leaning against him, reading a book and bugging Erik every two seconds to read his favourite part.
who uses all the hot water in the morning Erik every time, Charles prefers staying in bed, curled up in a warm duvet that smells like Erik, after he usually needs a cold shower anyway.
what they order from take out Pizza, despite his outward appearance Charles loves nothing more than cheezy pizza loaded with chicken and peppers, whenever Erik complains he would like something different Charles simply smiles, taps his head and says "no you wouldn't"
what is the most trivial thing they fight over they don't, which is almost worse, because when they fight it always matters, it is always over the life changing events, differing beliefs, differing life experiences making them such totally different creatures. Since the last big disagreement that left Charles bleeding on a beach and Erik feeling like his heart had stopped they didn't get enough time to fight, every moment they grabbed was spent just trying to make that world disappear.

who remembers anniversaries Every year they meet, it used to be three or four times a year, the itching to touch to see to feel would get too much, but their lives had gotten busy, Charles tied up with his saviour complex, Erik with his determination to weed out the weak and bring home the planet to those who truly deserved it. But even as time grew short, and they grew older, hair turning grey, or in Charles case disappearing altogether, they still made time for this, every year on the anniversary of their parting, they would meet, chat, pass the time with fond remembrances over good wine before losing themselves in hot kisses and stolen touches, one day a year they would lock the rest of the world out and just be Charles and Erik again. They never forget the day, in fact although they would never admit it, each of them counts down the other 360 odd days like a penance, waiting for the chance to come home.

who is the big spoon/little spoon Harvey, he likes to pretend it is a control thing but really there is no better feeling for him to have Mike wrapped up between his arms, or braced under his body, quivering with the effort to keep still as Harvey slowly fucks him hard enough to forget his name, before sliding them both to their sides and going to sleep wrapped together.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity Harvey will never admit it but he loves watching the kid work, loves the small crease between Mike's eyebrows when he is concentrating, the gleam of triumph in his eyes when he finally figures out that one little loophole that will win them their case, but most of all he loves the look of expectation as Mike gives him the solution, as he waits for Harvey's approval. The kid surpassed him long ago but it still makes Harvey feel good to know that his approval is still all Mike needs.
who uses all the hot water in the morning Mike, Harvey has gotten used to certain things when Mike stays over, one he will have no hot water cos the kid is like a fish, two his house will be in ruins because Mike's idea of cleaning up is to kick stuff under the bed and three it only takes one look from the kid to make Harvey forget all these points as he turns him over and fucks him, in the bed, the kitchen or even the soaking wet bathroom floor surrounded by the towels that Mike thinks self clean. He doesn't know when it happened but the damn kid brought out a side of Harvey he hadn't known existed, and it would take more than cold showers and a messy house to make him want to go back to his life before Mike.
what they order from take out Chinese, that usually goes cold as they get lost in a case, an old black and white movie or more often than not in each other.
what is the most trivial thing they fight over Men, or women, in particular men and women that seem to take great delight in annoying Harvey by drooling over Mike, he had lost count of the amount of times he had to rescue the kid from one leering idiot after another. Sometimes he thought Mike did it deliberately, flirted a little hard, stood a little closer than necessary to get a rise out of Harvey, which it normally did. He had never been the jealous type before, but then before Mike there had never been anything he cared about enough to get jealous over.
who does most of the cleaning Harvey, or rather Harvey's cleaner, Mike's idea of cleaning is to play hide the mess, course the kid has other talents that more than make up for it.
what has a season pass in their DVR Mpoor Grams for.ike, he has the taste of a gnat when it comes to TV and watches ridiculous programmes like blame the nanny and live to dance, all of which he blames his poor grams for.

who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working Noone, things don't break in Harvey's apartment, Mike is convinced that he has elves that clean his house and fix his mechanics when things have the nerve to go wrong. Of course he is wrong. Harvey pays a ridiculous amount of money to a girl Friday service who ensures that nothing goes wrong ever, of course he never tells Mike, just like he would never admit he finds the elf theory cute.
who steals the blankets Harvey he cocoons them both but by the end of the night he usually wakes up with the blanket wrapped around him and the heavy weight of Mike on top of him and Harvey had to admit, it was his favourite way to wake up

who remembers to buy the milk They both do because they both cant live without their coffee, and they both funnily enough like their coffee with loads of milk, of course this usually means they end up with a fridge full of milk bottles and some chinese cartons, but they manage to get by.

who remembers anniversaries Mike, he can remember everything and he never lets Harvey forget it, Harvey remembers the big things, the first time Mike told him he loved him, the first time he said it back, the day they moved in together but Mike remembers everything, and Harvey has to admit it makes him smile to wake up to a post it note attached to chocolates, a flower, once notably to a very interesting looking toy, with the words I'll always remember today. Harvey doesn't know what each of the days are, but it never seems to matter.
