Ok finally downloaded firefly and am starting to watch, am I going to hate myself for this?

I still miss SGA and 24, should I really start watching another show that was cancelled and risk falling in love with it even though there are no more episode????????

At least Firefly got its movie that helped bring it to some resolution - 'Serenity.'

"The Hero of Canton" song alone is worth the pain of prematurely losing this awesome show. To be completely honest, I think this is the greatest thing Joss Whedon has ever given this world. Buffy and Angel were wonderful and Dr. Horrible still makes my heart sing, but Firefly is truly an original, one of a kind piece of ART. Seriously. *wishes she hadn't deleted her Jayne icon*

Well, Firefly seems to be a show everyone loved and my best friend tried to get me into it, but I didn't get it.

Hey, on the plus side, should you like it, then you don't have to wade through 5 or ten seasons to catch up :)

I like to look fondly on Firefly as the TV show that never got ruined by the networks/writers/some fuckmuppet losing the plot and then spewing it all over my TV screen. That would have been the real tragedy (and inevitable, judging by the state of the TV currently coming out of the US *scowls*)

And I'm glad they never made a film to follow it, because that would have been a terrible, awful, no good, very bad way of wrapping the story up...

(I am, by all accounts, the only person in the universe who thought Serenity was a steaming pile of poo. I manage this by pretending it never happened. I am happy in my state of denial)
