[Error: unknown template qotd]Although I have to agree with everyone who has already mentioned 9/11.
The day that stands out most in my mind (as in I can remember, what I was wearing, where I was how I felt) was 13th March 1996, the Dunblane Massacre, when a lone gunman, walked into a Scottish Primary school, opened fire and murdered 16 children 6 and under and one teacher.
I was 19 and remember the complete shock and horror that I felt that day and for days after, it was probably one of the blackest times I ever remember and it actually impacted my country as it led to a ban in almost all handguns.
To this day I still attend mass on the anniversary of this day and say a prayer for all those poor families who's lives were turned upside down.
