mrstotten: Avengers: Tony and Steve, "Keep staring, pretty boy. I might do a trick." (Default)
From: [personal profile] mrstotten
I never got snow queen in the first season, but read more since mid season 2 so can definitely see that.

Yes! The movie doesn't seem to have looked at all at Steve/Tony's relationship in the comic book verse and with that in mind it is hard to see how they will do things like civil war any kind of justice. That storyline broke hearts for so many reasons but the big arc throughout it all is the fact that tony and Steve were pitted against each other. The scene in the mansion of them looking at the pictures talking about how it wasn't supposed too be like that and the end line "it wasn't worth it" totally broke me, and I wanted that emotion on the movie but agree we won't get it as they seem to prefer going. Straight for the tony / Steve dislike each other !!! Funnily enough civil war always makes things topsy turvy in my house. I am a Steve fan, always and forever, I adore Steve Rogers, have always adored him. My son and hubby are iron man fans to the core, but in civil war we flip sides, tony did what he did for the greater good, but mainly to protect his friends and to protect Steve. But they think iron man is wrong :) the post civil war stuff I'd also amazing, tony trying to recreate captain America, his breakdown at the speech, ugh!!!

But although most of my ships are fun and interchangeable, there are a couple. (MCShep, super husbands) where I just don't see them working without each other :)

I have recently read some Bucky/nat stuff I loved though.

Have you read any of scifigrl47's stuff?
