Had a wonderful weekend, met up with many old friends, some of whom I haven’t seen in almost 6 months and had a lovely meal, followed by party at ours, in which I finally made my bed between 4am and 5am. I have pictures of us all playing Guitar Hero World Tour for anyone who fancies cheering up I can post with my next post, be warned though they contain very drunk adults, behaving like very big kids (there were fights over lead guitar)

Hangover, not of the good, but survived it by eating lots or rubbish and rewatching sn, Comments below

On a completely different note, it is snowing here, as in 4 inch deep lie on the ground snow, now although Scotland is cold, we don’t get that much snow, buckets of rain yes (it’s why we are a green and fertile land) but not much snow, so when I looked out the window this morning I literally squeed. It did however lead to this very confused exchanged between me and my 3 year old

Me : “Robert, baby, it’s time to get up for nursery”

Robert : “No mummy, Nuh uh” (Yes my son is a 3 yr old teenager, he loves his bed)

Me: It’s been snowing, do you want to see

Me : Robert???

Me lifting semi comatose child out of bed and leading him to the window.

Upon seeing the snow he did however come alive which led to this.

Robert : Can we builds a snowman?

Me : Of course

Robert : it’s going to be the best, snowman ever (he watches a lot of Pooh bear)

Me : Yep

Robert : and then Santa comes tonight

Me : !!!! huh?

Robert : when it snows Santa comes

Me : No sweetie, Santa comes at Christmas

Robert : Yup? And Christmas comes when it’s snowing

Me : No sweetie, Christmas comes in December, when baby Jesus was born.

Robert : Yup and baby Jesus is born when it’s snowing, it’s going to be the best Christmas ever

I left him at my mums still talking about Santa coming tonight, really don’t know how I’m going to get it through to him, eeep

I liked the episode a lot for several reasons

The beginning, we watched this with Robert’s little sister who is 13 and at secondary school, she is very settled now but has had problems with ‘friends’ bullying in the past, the bit when the girl is called a slut and then retaliates, Robert sighed and said and around and around it goes, Kimmi asked what he meant after it and we also discussed the ‘bully’ who wasn’t and how Sam in his own way was a bully, and how easy it is to cross that line, how one name said in anger and jest can stick with a person forever. I know it sounds cheesy, but I liked that it addressed these issues, this is one of the reasons I loved Buffy, so glad that sn went down this route.

I loved Dean and Sam’s relationship, they are so comfortable around each other, so natural even his g/f noticed.

Loved that Sam kicks ass and that he has a temper, even though the final fight went too far, loved that he doesn’t just rely on Dean to get him out of trouble.

Loved the shot with the Impala, lil Dean looked so cute trying to ac tough behin the wheel

I LOVED protective Dean and the echoing of “I’m going to rip his lungs out”

I really enjoyed seeing Dean and Sam as a teenager, Sam hating what they do, desperate for a little security and stability and Dean pushing people away as soon as they get too close. The end with the role reversal was cleverly done.

Dean may have the swagger down, but it is clear that his insecurities run deep, his hatred of anyone feeling sorry for him, his assertatioon that his life is good, that he is a hero, my poor baby, I just wanted to HUG him.

Sam turning it all around, his confidence growing, realising he can be someone without Dean and his dad, I think this school was a major turning point in deciding to go to University. Also loved that he went back and thanked his teacher. Everyone should have a teacher like that in their life, who builds your faith in yourself and teaches you about the person you want to be.

At the end, when he was asked if he was happy and couldn’t answer, awww, schnoogles Sam.

These boys, so deserve the happy ever after.

Things I didn’t like.

There was no Castiel :) which is something that I will always complain about

No Bobby, again with the sad

Young Dean, now the actor was actually surprisingly good a couple of times he really had Deans voice and stance down pat, but he just tried to hard, to be fair to the kid though Jensen Ackles is a big act to follow but I didn’t like the doll etc with the teacher, it just didn’t sit right, I don’t know why.

Didn’t like that we didn’t get to see John :( seemed a little bit of a cop out.
