That is a valid point, kind of like the epilogue in the Harry
Potter stories it would be nice to make up our own minds about what happens, but it would also be epically cool for a show to make the jump :) and funnily enough I think the BBC has more balls than Hollywood :P

But yes, someone mentioned further down that the person who owns the rights to the last book wasn't happy about the implied slash in the movie and that was far milder than this, so probably is not on the cards.
